The Scott at Brush Park, the new five-story apartment building on Woodward and Erskine, announced its first restaurant on the northwest corner of the ground floor. The 4,500-square-foot bistro will have a full bar and a diverse menu. No word yet on what that menu might be.

Bloomfield-based AAP Holdings has leased the space, and the restaurant will be owned by restauranteurs Michael Abrams and Brian Adleman of Bloomfield Hills and David Pittaway of New York City. Abrams and Adleman have opened Five Guys Burgers and Fries locations in the past. They selected the Brush Park location for its gameday traffic and for the great energy building in downtown Detroit.

"The Scott is known as one of the key developments in the Brush Park area, and therefore makes the perfect place for our new restaurant to take off in Detroit," said Abrams. "We are thrilled about the location at The Scott and the vibrancy of the southern Mid-town area."

The Scott has 15,000 square feet of first-floor retail space, meaning we should see a few more announcements in the coming months. The construction for the residences should be complete by December 1.
