There are more options than ever for a happy hour drink in Detroit. Downtown’s casual, outdoor cocktail bar, The Skip, is now serving up happy hour specials in the Belt Alley. The bar launched the new menu on Wednesday, which features discounts on select frozen cocktails, wells, and shots as well as beer and wine. Customers can save up to $3 sipping on slushie-style cucumber margaritas and updated classics like the Skip old fashioned for between $5 and $6 from open to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday.
While the weather is still relatively sunny and warm, the owners have plans in place to keep the bar running well into the chillier fall weather. A rep for the restaurant confirms to Eater that the bar will stay open with outdoor heaters until weather gets bitterly cold and are even looking into alternatives that might keep The Skip pouring drinks year round. Scope out the new cocktail menu below:
The Skip just updated its hours for fall. Find the bar open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday; and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Happy hour runs from open ‘til 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday (no specials on Saturdays).
