Ann Arbor food empire Zingerman’s is now helping to perk up patrons of Vegas’s Detroit-themed hotel and casino. Eater Vegas reports that Zingerman’s Coffee Co. is now brewing lattes, cappuccinos, breves, and fortissimos in the D Las Vegas so Michigan expats visiting the famed strip of Nevada desert can get their caffeine fix just like at home.
The coffee brand is the latest export from Southeast Michigan. The D Las Vegas is already home to an Andiamo Italian Steakhouse and an American Coney Island. Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, which operates Andiamo, also plans to bring a Joe Muer Seafood location to Vegas in a planned national expansion that includes Bloomfield Hills and Nashville.
Here in Michigan, Zingerman’s is working on its own brand expansions. The company launched a partnership with the Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s Plum Market outpost last year and is in the process of opening a Korean restaurant with San Street Food founder Ji Hye Kim.
