Midtown’s forthcoming macaroni and cheese bar, Sweet Lorraine’s Mac n’ Brewz!, is getting very close to opening. Located in the former Marwil Bookstore space, Lorraine’s was originally expected to open in 2014. However, co-founder Gary Sussman tells Eater the 88-seat restaurant and craft beer bar is preparing to wrap-up inspections and staff training next week.
Diners will have the option to carryout or dine-in at the new iteration of Lorraine’s. The menu features 15 types of mac and cheese, as well as wraps, salad bowls, and breakfast foods. The restaurant is also outfitted with a full bar serving 12 draft beers, between 20 and 25 bottled beers, and rotating selection of sangria and liquor infusions. Michigan brand Northwoods Soda will also be available. Sussman estimates the restaurant will debut around the second week in February. Preview the menu (sans breakfast) below:
