Katoi Bids Adieu to Ann Arbor Pop-Up Next Week

The temporary restaurant is finally saying so long to its 5th Avenue location.

All good things must come to an end. Katoi in Exile — the Ann Arbor-based pop-up version of forthcoming Detroit eatery Katoi — is closing for good on February 6th. Initially planned as a summer-long pop-up, for a while it seemed like Katoi might actually make its Ann Arbor location permanent. However, in an announcement on social media the partners state that the former Jerusalem Garden space is "busted and needs more love than we can give it."

Meanwhile, the Corktown space is quickly approaching opening day. Construction is expected to wrap at the restaurant this month with an opening estimated for (hopefully) sometime between February and March.
