Ferndale Sushi Restaurant Crave Lounge Shutters

Crave Lounge in Ferndale has shuttered. A tipster alerted Eater to the closure Wednesday evening. Located on Woodward Avenue, Crave Lounge took over the former John D Bistro space in December of 2014, offering sushi and other Asian fusion cuisine. It was the second outpost for Crave Lounge, which launched on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn in 2005. The Dearborn location appears to have closed quietly last fall.

Reached by email, co-owner Eddie Farah declined to comment on the reasons for the closure. Farah says he's considering hosting pop-up events in the building and may convert it into a private event space. In the meantime, he's working on an unnamed project in downtown Detroit.
