Stache International will finally arrive this Thursday with an array of sandwiches designed to quell the late-night hunger pangs of Detroit bar crowds. Located in a 125-year-old Eastern Market building, the space required significant upgrading to make it restaurant-ready. When partners Steve Kay and Ray and Grace Moses acquired the space it had one outlet and no plumbing. Today, the carnival-themed eatery boasts all the modern essentials as well a retractable garage door for warmer months, an open kitchen, and a mixture of picnic tables, four tops, and bar seating. Take a tour of Stache International in the gallery above.
