Fast-growing Metro Detroit restaurant chain Diamond Jim Brady's may actually return to Detroit proper. Deadline Detroit reports that owner Tom Brady is targeting a downtown Detroit location slated to open in 2017, although he did not disclose an exact location. Meanwhile, the company is moving ahead with its renovations of The Oxford Inn in Royal Oak. That location is expected to open in October, with an Ann Arbor location set to debut in spring 2016.

Diamond Jim Brady's originally opened in 1954 on Greenfield and 7 Mile in Detroit. The restaurant serves upscale bistro-ish fare such as lamb meatballs, potato-crusted Lake Superior whitefish, and a salad they tout as "Michigan's best Caesar."
