Brome Burgers & Shakes Lands in Dearborn; The Huron Room Erects Giant Fish Sign

PLYWOOD REPORT — Jacques Driscoll and Les Molnar's forthcoming fish & chips project The Huron Room is expected to debut this fall. In the meantime, the eatery is taking the seafood theme very literally, with a giant fish protruding from the building façade. Here's another close-up of the signage. [Facebook]

EXPANSIONS — Atwater Brewing Co. is slated to open a biergarten and taproom in Grand Rapids a la Atwater in the Park. The brewpub will feature 40 beers on tap. [Crain's]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — Chef Adam Hightower is opening a new, 300-seat restaurant, Parkside: A Modern American Bistro, in Auburn Hills. The restaurant's Friday opening is delayed. [Freep/Facebook]

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH — Dearborn is receiving Brome Burgers & Shakes next month at 22064 Michigan Avenue. The 3,700-square-foot burger joint will serve fresh, organic patties and house-cut potatoes (it's unclear whether these will be fries, wedges, etc.). [DBusiness]

DISASTER REPORT — A driver apparently experiencing a medical emergency lost control of their vehicle and smashed into Royal Oak's Siam Spicy restaurant this morning. No one in the restaurant was hurt and the driver was taken to the hospital, however the building appears to be damaged. [Local Stew]
