Redford-based Vietnamese restaurant Pho Lucky is on an expansion spree. The restaurant, which just opened its third location last month in Southfield, is slated to take over the former Addison Eatery space in Midtown. Owner Cong Nguyen confirms that he signed the lease with Midtown Inc. last week and made it official by posting a sign in the shop's window Sunday evening.

Nguyen says he purchased the liquor license from Addison Eatery's operator and is in the process of making the legal transfer, which could take up to two months. In the meantime, Pho Lucky is busy securing health inspections, city licenses, signage, and miscellaneous items like POS machines and credit card machines. With or without the liquor license, Nguyen hopes to see the new pho outpost debut by late October.
