TOP CHEFFAGE — Dearborn native and Top Chef Season 12 winner Mei Lin is headed to Southeast Michigan for a series of events in October including a sold-out Savor Detroit dinner. The chef is scheduled to visit Ann Arbor's public library at 2:30 p.m. on October 3 to discuss her career and experience on Top Chef. [Freep]

EVENTWIRE — Menagerie Kitchen in Pontiac is hosting a pop-up dinner by chef Jeremy Kalmus on September 26 with cash bar proceeds benefiting the Dick Wagner ‘Remember the Child' Memorial Fund. The event will also serve as the launch party for JD's Motown Mustard, a start-up business founded by Jeffrey Downs. REOPENING REPORT — Beverly Hills Grill reopened Friday following a major renovation. The restaurant has undergone upgrades before, but never so extensive. [Freep]

BEER HERE — Ashley's is throwing 30th Anniversary bashes for Bell's. The first is being held on Tuesday at the A2 location, showcasing a special release Oberon, Sparkleberry, and a mystery keg.
