MARKET WATCH — Srodek's in Hamtramck is expanding to a 16,000-square-foot free-standing market, bakery, liquor store, full-service restaurant, and microbrewery in Sterling Heights. The new Polish market location is slated to debut next summer. The restaurant will "resemble the woodwork and ambiance of the villages of Poland." [DBusiness]
OPENING REPORT — A new bar is pouring pints in Berkley replacing the former Hiller's Market on 12 Mile. Owner Bob Bronstein, who also owns 24 Seconds sports bar, opened Patrick J's Irish Pub two months ago with 30 beers on tap and 40 bottled options. RENOVATION REPORT — Kruse and Muer on Main in downtown Rochester is undergoing major renovations including a new bar, back bar, seating, windows, light fixtures, carpets, awnings, and more.
