RENOVATION REPORT — The Royal Park Hotel's Brookshire Restaurant makeover is wrapping up on schedule. The Brookshire will be reborn as Park 600 Bar + Kitchen by mid-September with craft cocktails, gas oven pizzas, and dishes like Asian-spiced pork shank. [DBiz]

POP-UPS — While the kitchen build-out is still on hold (the current restaurant boom is placing increased demand on contractors), Hamtramck newcomer Bumbo's is getting ready to roll out a few regular pop-ups. Beginning September 13, co-owner Tia Krawcyzk tells Eater the bar will open at 12:30 p.m. for football, drink specials, and food. Additionally, Bumbo's plans do a weekly Wednesday pop-up this fall with a rotating menu. [EaterWire]
