Bucharest's Third Location Aims for Early Fall Opening; Eve is Hiring

MILWAUKEE JUNCTION — Bucharest's third location is approximately one month away from opening, according to owner Bogdan Tarasov. The restaurant will seat between 20 and 25 guests and may eventually feature a patio. Meanwhile, Tarasov is hoping the city will approve plans to expand the Corktown location with added seating and space for guests waiting on takeout orders. [Freep]

DOWNTOWN — Renovations appear to be underway at the Biegas Building. The building was purchased by Paul Howard, co-owner of The Bronx and Cliff Bell's last spring and is expected to house a neighborhood bar. [EaterWire]

ANN ARBOR — Eve the restaurant is hiring "warm and talented" waitstaff. The restaurant is advertised as a "chef-driven contemporary" restaurant with craft cocktails, beer, and "an extensive and curated wine list." [Craigslist]

GROSSE POINTE PARK — Detroit Marshmallow Co. has once again launched a small crowdfunding campaign to help offset kitchen equipment costs. The company is expected to reopen at 11 a.m. on August 28. [Facebook]

FERNDALE — Microbrewery startup Urbanrest surpassed its crowdfunding goal this week. The company is expected to launch early next year. [Facebook]
