September may be a month for wine. Another new wine shop, in addition to Vertical Detroit, is set to open downtown next month, reports Crain's. House of Pure Vin will take over the 3,100-square-foot suite previously occupied by Studio Couture on Woodward Avenue. Pure Vin is the brainchild of Regina Gaines, Terry Mullins, and Andrea Dunbar who received two months of free rent for their prize-winning pitch at TechTown's Retail Boot Camp last fall. The owners have enlisted master sommelier Claudia Tyagi to train their staff and select wines to sell in the shop. Approximately 50 percent of Pure Vin's bottles will be Michigan wines. Pure Vin is scheduled to debut September 27.
