BEER HERE — Third Monk Brewing Company debuted in South Lyon June 26 with four beers on tap. Food is not a part of this concept, but visitors are always welcome to bring something to snack on. [Freep]

RENOVATION REPORT — Located in the Royal Park Hotel, Rochester's Brookshire Restaurant is getting a makeover with a new name and menu. The Brookshire will host its final dinner service on July 7 and demolition will begin July 8 to make way for Park 600 Bar + Restaurant. The new concept — expected to open on September 15 — will feature trendy craft cocktails and a gas-fired pizza oven. [Freep]
