Phoenicia's Samy Eid is officially the majority owner of Forest Grill in Birmingham, Hometown Life first reports. A representative for Eid tells Eater the new owner plans to work closely with chef Nick Janutol to rebrand the restaurant with a fresh look, new logo, and a "world menu." Once the Birmingham Commission approves Eid's plans, renovations will begin at the temporarily shuttered restaurant. Updates to the site will include nana windows, for an open-air feel, as well as a 1,000-bottle wine cellar. Forest Grill is expected to reopen by late September or early October.
