EVENTWIRE — In from Chicago, chef Ed Sura is swinging by Yemans Street July 25 for a 5-course pop-up featuring foie gras mousse, tomato salad, Skuna Bay salmon, confit  pork jowl, s'mores made with frozen cocoa mousse, wild rice, and beer jam marshmallow. Tickets are $75 in the dining room or $100 at the chef table with beverage pairings. [EaterWire]

GIMMICKS — Gold Cash Gold is kicking off "Oysters for Equality" this Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The weekly 77-percent off happy hour for women is meant to raise awareness for the gender pay gap. It's not clear how a discount on booze resolves this problem, but here's to cheap drinks. [Facebook]

BOOZE NEWS — Trendy Corktown cocktail bar, The Sugar House, is hosting an ice cream social with boozy versions of summer's favorite frozen dessert.
