Bucharest Grill opened less than 10 years ago on Park Avenue in Detroit, but since then it's developed a following strong following among downtown residents, workers, and visitors to the nearby ballpark. Now with a satellite restaurant in Corktown and a Milwaukee Junction outpost on the way, Bucharest is poised for expansion.
Few restaurants can compete with their Romanian-style shawarma stuffed with chicken, pickle spears, and a strong garlic sauce. From lunch until late in the evening customers pour out the door at this quintessential late-night cheap eat.
