Craft beer lovers: you're on notice. ROAK Brewing Company's tap room opens today at 4 p.m. with six signature beers. The 18,000-square-foot facility features a 30-barrel brewing system with annual production capacity of 13,500 barrels.

ROAK recruited head brewer/partner Brandon MacClaren and head of quality control Trace Redmond from Founders and the pair bring a strong knowledge of craft beer to the table. ROAK's tap list is well-balanced with a selection of dark and light beers, all featuring a distinctive strong hopped flavor more akin to some West Coast brands. "It's fun to be able to be involved in this from day one," MacClaren says.

Beer isn't the only thing making a statement at the brewer. Step into the tap room and the first thing one's likely to notice is 30-foot-high black glass bar back created by local artist Mark Bommarito. "Drop jaw. That's the goal," Bommarito says. "I wanted people, when they came in, to experience an environment they've never experienced." Bommarito's designs for the space give ROAK a rock-and-roll feel, with a guitar sculpture surrounded by a pyramid of gold leaf above an entryway, a massive crystal chandelier, purple curtains hanging from the walls, and floor to ceiling windows that look into the warehouse.

The 1,400-square-foot space offers both indoor and outdoor seating and a full menu of pizzas (hand tossed and deep dish), salads, charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and desserts. The tap room isn't the only way to get ahold of ROAK's beers. They're are already in distribution, popping up in six packs at stores and on tap at local bars and restaurants. Check out the full tap list below:
