CORKTOWN — This bodes well. Dave Mancini is offering a sneak peek of the food from his highly anticipated restaurant La Rondinella. MotorCity Wine will host the Fuochi d'artificio pop-up from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 22. The menu will likely feature ricotta gnocci, bacala fritters, mixed greens, tarragon roasted potatoes, meatballs in tomato sauce, and verjus creamsicles. No reservations necessary for this one. DOWNTOWN — Nap Boule's Caribbean flavors will take center stage at this week's Checker Bar POP event. Dine on jerk chicken pate, plantains, Haitian spaghetti with homemade spicy sausage, veggies with jerk-seasoned beans, and banana cake. [Facebook]
