CASS CORRIDOR — Both The Peterboro and 8 Degrees Plato are making headway, though from the outside one might suspect the building is mostly plywood (all the large exterior window have been removed). The original tin ceilings at Plato received a fresh coat of paint and the bar/bottle shop's first cooler has arrived. [EaterWire/Facebook]

DOWNTOWN — That July opening may be within reach for belated Parks & Rec. The paper is off the windows and inside a rustic wooden sign featuring what appeared to be Belle Isle's Scott Memorial Fountain and the words "Welcome to Parks & Recreation" is visible.  A short diner counter with stools as well as tables and black metal chairs labeled "Parks & Rec Detroit" also await future customers. The restaurant appears to be using the space for kitchen prep. [EaterWire]

ROYAL OAK — Mesa Tacos and Tequila is hosting its Grand Opening dinner service tomorrow. [EaterWire]
