Highland Park's historic Red Hots Coney Island recently underwent major renovations with the help of Food Network show American Diner Revival. The episode is scheduled to air sometime in June, but in the meantime Eater sent photographers Chris and Michelle Gerard to check out the scene and new look at the 94-year-old diner. Some of the major changes include new decals on the walls, appliances, and new seats as well as a few updates to the menu, which will be revealed during the episode. While the interior sports many new additions, the classic restaurant facade emerged relatively unscathed.
