Technically Corktown Farmers Market debuted last week, but the fledgling market is hosting a Grand Opening this Thursday. The market, Corktown's first in nearly 50 years, features produce and prepared foods from 16 local vendors including Gold Cash Gold (find them slinging bread and house-made kimchi there weekly), What Up Dough, Detroit Marshmallow Co., and ACRE farm. Photographers and Corktown natives Chris and Michelle Gerard got a first look during last week's soft opening. Check out the full gallery at Curbed.

The Corktown Farmers Market runs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays from now through October in the patio space next to Detroit Institute of Bagels. Website.
