The corner of Monroe Avenue and St. Antoine Street will soon receive a new Starbucks, Greektown Casino-Hotel and Bedrock Real Estate (both backed by billionaire Dan Gilbert) announced today. Construction on the new café is already underway.

The Seattle-based coffee chain has slowly grown its presence in Detroit proper over the last several years in locations surrounding the Woodward Corridor. The new café will be operated by food service company Compass Group USA and is expected to debut in September.
