Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails has been hosting nightly invite-only dinners in the lead-up to the restaurant's Grand Opening. However, today the anticipated new dining destination opened its reservation books to the public.

"Things have gone pretty smooth," owner Sandy Levine tells Eater. "Doug and I decided to open up the reservation books (starting tonight) to push ourselves a little more for the rest of the week." Visit Chartreuse's Yelp reservation page to book a table.

The Hungry Dudes' Joe Hakim got a first-look at the new restaurant and offered his impressions:

All of [chef Doug] Hewitt's dishes are executed meticulously with love and precision. The small kitchen is able to crank out food at a surprisingly efficient pace and Hewitt is on the other side of pass sending dishes out or artfully plating, like a multitasking conductor.

The company's Facebook page has already received a few (mostly five star) reviews, although time will tell if this exciting new addition truly hits the mark. The restaurant officially opens May 19. In the meantime, check out the full menu.
