Brera Pizza & Salad Co., a fast-casual restaurant chain with a menu designed by Top of the Pontch chef Justin Vaiciunas, soft opened Sunday in Dearborn. Signature thin-crust pizzas, salads, and wraps made with fresh, local ingredients like house-cured prosciutto are the main event. Brera also offers a build-your-own option for all of its entrees.
The owners including creator Michael Jaafar, plan to open several more locations in southeast Michigan this year. Vaiciunas told Eater in April that the company is scouting properties in Detroit, the suburbs, and Ann Arbor for expansion. Brera is in negotiations with Bedrock Real Estate for a space in downtown Detroit.
One early bird has already provided the first Yelp review of Brera, giving the eatery four stars (it would have been five if the restaurant offered alcohol).
Brera Pizza and Salad Co. will be open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The company's Grand Opening is scheduled for May 16.
