Chef Frank Fejeran's Pacific Island-style barbecue trailer received health department approval on Thursday paving the way for Ricewood to roll onto Ann Arbor's streets next Monday. Ricewood will open Monday through Friday next to Morgan & York wine and cheese shop from noon until the trailer sells out.
Fejeran, who previously headed the kitchen at Ravens Club, told Eater that he and brother Gabe Golub would smoke meats using aged post oak. The barbecue will be served over rice and topped with finadene sauce and a side of cucumber salad. Fejeran expects the trailer to serve approximately 100 guests per day.
