Here we go again. Since September various news outlets including Eater Detroit, have offered conflicting reports about Jason Momoa's intentions to purchase property and maybe open a brewery in Pontiac. Now, Crain's Kirk Pinho reports a "firm confirmation that a former Game of Thrones actor has purchased a building in Pontiac."
Real estate service CoStar Group Inc. tells the magazine that a company calling itself Chief of the Sixes LLC purchased the former Planet Rock and General Motors building located at 34 Rapid St. Chief of the Sixes' address corresponds to the address for Momoa's production company Pride of the Gypsies. The purchase was made last month.
Momoa made a surprise visit to Detroit in late February, hitting up several local restaurants including Republic, St. CeCe's, and Punch Bowl Social. Crain's speculates that Chief of the Sixes, which refers to the 1926 Pontiac Series 6-27, might be the name of the Momoa's rumored brewery. Of course, that bit of speculation hasn't been confirmed.
