The countdown 'til the launch of Hatch Detroit 2015 has begun. Over the past 5 years, the Hatch contest has launched some of Detroit's most exciting new brick-and-mortar businesses including Batch BrewingLa Feria, and the soon-to-open Sister Pie. This year, the Detroit Lions are providing "both financial and ancillary support to the Hatch Detroit alumni who've followed through on the business plan laid out during the contest but need further assistance."

More details on this year's changes will be revealed in the coming weeks, but in the meantime the partners released a video discussing how Hatch and the Detroit Lions worked together to revitalize Agnes Street in the West Village. The video features interviews with Hugh Yaro of Craft Work, as well as Erika Boyd and Kirsten Ussery-Boyd of Detroit Vegan Soul.

Clarification: A representative for Hatch tells Eater the Lions are partners on the Hatch Neighborhood Initiative — no longer the "contest." This article's headline has been updated to reflect the change.
