Birmingham's latest restaurant addition, Triple Nickel, is offering customers a preview today from noon to 9 p.m. with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. The "American-themed tavern" fills a multi-story space at 555 S. Old Woodward Avenue (formerly Crush) and features a menu of regional dishes including Maryland crab cakes, a Boston bibb salad, and Colorado Springs lamb chops, reports DBusiness. Chef John Fleming, formerly of Sindbad's, is heading the kitchens. The restaurant layout includes multiple decks with fireplaces. The tavern officially opens this Thursday.
