Fast casual sandwich shop, Steak Escape, is expanding to Metro Detroit, according to DBusiness. The Bloomfield Hills-based Sherwood Group plans to open three franchises in the metro area by spring 2016. Steak Escape offers cheesesteaks, grilled subs, baked potatoes, and breakfast items for under $10. While the company hasn't settled on locations, Steak Escape generally focuses on opening near airports, universities, and hospitals, which would make Midtown a prime location.
