Brera Pizza & Salad Co., a new fast-casual restaurant designed by Top of the Pontch chef Justin Vaiciunas and attorney Michael Jaafar, will host its soft opening May 11. In March, Vaiciunas revealed that he was launching a new restaurant chain with DIY wood-fired pizzas and salads at a 2,500-square-foot location in Dearborn.

Brera's owners are scouting out properties in Detroit, the suburbs, and Ann Arbor for their next two locations. Currently, the company is in negotiations with Bedrock Real Estate for a space in downtown Detroit.

The chef says he's in the process of training staff at the Dearborn restaurant and welcomes people to drop-in and try the menu if they see him inside the restaurant. The company will host a Grand Opening on May 16.

Brera Pizza and Salad Co. will be open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
