Chartreuse Previews Menu; The Bridge Sets Sights on May Opening

MIDTOWN — Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails appears to be rapidly approaching opening day. The restaurant previewed several dishes on Facebook including Michigan shrimp, mussels, coconut curry, and popcorn, as well the spring pea on toast with fresh ricotta. Pot & Box contributed a stunning hanging floral installation in the dining room, and owner Sandy Levine published a photo of the completed restaurant. Chartreuse is expected to debut in the first half of May.

ISLANDVIEW — The Bridge restaurant and bar will open in May according to the restaurant's Facebook page.

DETROIT — Would-be cold brew peddlers Tomo Coffee Co. wrapped up a successful Kickstarter campaign by surpassing their $7,000 goal.

DOWNTOWN — Chef Christina Stanco is experimenting with pickling as part of her menu development for Central Kitchen + Bar.

DOWNTOWN — Townhouse is hiring for all positions at its Birmingham and Detroit locations.

ANN ARBOR — Ricewood Barbecue offered diners a pop-up preview of what's to come at Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor last Sunday. MLive reports chef Frank Fejeran is aiming to launch the food truck on April 27. The Ricewood website offers a complete menu preview.

CANTON — Canton Brew Works finally installed taps. The company is aiming for an opening sometime between April 23 and April 28. Stay tuned.
