Sources on-site in the Michigan Building confirm that a new bar and grill is set to debut next Monday in time for the Detroit Tiger's first game of the season. Since February, it's been rumored that a new tavern might be taking over the Bagley Bar space, left vacant since the tenants were unceremoniously evicted last summer.

Eater took a brief tour the forthcoming restaurant Thursday evening and spoke with workers at the restaurant who described the menu as typical bar fare with burgers, pizza, fries, and beer. Although the space wasn't completely set up at the time of our visit, tables were present as well as a bar and a small kitchen area. Management could not be reached immediately for comment or to confirm the name of the tavern. Stay tuned for more details.
