RESTAURANT WEEKS — Detroit Restaurant Week has set the date — May 1 through May 10 — and while the lineup hasn't been announced yet, some restaurants are already getting a head start with menus including The Whitney. [EaterWire]

CROWDSOURCING — Many of Detroit's farm-to-table restaurants (Katoi, SupinoForest Grill) are rallying around Melo Farms, whose future is uncertain due to a broken down tractor. Without the equipment, the farm won't be able to make ends meet. So far, Melo has raised less than 25 percent of their $60,000 goal. [EaterWire]

RENOVATION REPORT — Columbo's Coney Island in Southwest is receiving a makeover with the help of façade improvement grants. The orange exterior will be painted blue and red with a new awning and better signage. [EaterWire]

VITAL UPDATES — Things may be looking up for The Keep based on a post to Facebook on April 11. [EaterWire]

BURGER WEEK — In case you missed it, Eater kicked off Burger Week today with Detroit and Ann Arbor Burger Heatmaps. We're also wondering which burger chains you think should come to Detroit next. [EaterWire]
