Detroit's Atwater Brewery is rolling into North Carolina's beer market today, according to a company release. The brewery, known for their Dirty Blonde Ale, Vanilla Java Porter, and Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale, is partnering with Craft Central to distribute across central and western North Carolina. "This partnership gives us the ability to be in larger chains, diverse retailers and more bars and restaurants," says Atwater owner Mark Reith.
Atwater is in the midst of a major expansion, according to Hour Detroit. In February, the company announced their goal to increase production to 60,000 barrels in 2015. The company is also building a brewery in Austin, Texas, and recently began distributing to Colorado and California. Atwater is expected to release a line of spirits in April.
