Cronut mania has finally arrived in Detroit. Krema pastry shop debuted on February 25 in Greektown with bougatsa (a delicious Greek cream-filled pastry sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar), gelato, loukoumades (a honey-soaked sweet), spanakopita (spinach, feta, and filo dough), and "Kremnuts"—the shop's version of the popular croissant-doughnut hybrid.

Owned by Tasso Teftsis (of Astoria Bakery and Red Smoke Barbeque), the shop is located in a historic two-story building at 531 Monroe Ave.according to Hour Detroit. Krema, which means "cream" in Greek, is a small space with just 12 seats and plenty of lime green accents. This place is so new there's no website or social media pages yet. Stay tuned for more details.
