Kalamazoo brewer Bell's may not be winning the award for favorite brewery this year, but despite a recent barrage of bad press nothing quite says spring like the annual release of Oberon. Many restaurants and bars cracked open the first Oberons of the season at the stroke of midnight. The Detroit News has a complete list of where to find the coveted wheat ale best paired with a slice of orange in Metro Detroit. The list includes One Eyed Betty's, Grand Trunk, and Clubhouse BFD. While Oberon may be Bell's most successful brew, it's also the company's most controversial. Bell's Brewery was forced to change the brew's name from Solsun to Oberon in the ‘90s due to a trademark dispute.
