Get ready for Metro Detroit's next distilling venture. Royal Oak's Motor City Gas Whiskey is cracking open their first cask at 10 a.m. on St. Patty's Day, just in time for some day drinking. Hell Yeah Detroit has the first word on the distillery owned by Rich and Tonya Lockwood.

Their space on 4th street reflects that desire for old school craftsmanship and simplicity. Everything inside was hand crafted by Lockwood and his friends. The decor is largely reclaimed wood, with a small bar and a tasting room.

The March 17 debut will feature $2 tastings and $36 bottles. Stay tuned for more details.
