Chef Zack Sklar of Peas & Carrots Hospitality is scoping out spaces in Detroit for a future venture, The Detroit News reports. Last fall, Sklar told Eater he was toying with the idea of opening a pop-up style restaurant ala Revolver in the Motor City.
Meanwhile, the chef offers more details about his two new Birmingham restaurant ventures headed for the former Chen Chow Brasserie. For one thing, his French brasserie finally has a name. Au Cochon will offer a relax vibe with duck fat french fries, burgers, and a "serious" craft cocktail program. Additionally, both the brasserie and its "unpretentious" Italian neighbor Arthur Avenue will have patio seating, says Sklar. The restaurants are expected to be completed by late summer.
