A new mobile concept is preparing to hit the road in southeast Michigan. Local entrepreneur Alleah Webb is founding Drifter Coffee, a café set inside a vintage 1960s trailer.

"I really want to get around the city and southeast Michigan, selling great coffee, and getting to know people," Webb tells Rusty Young of Hell Yeah Detroit. "This is an adventure, a journey, and a bit out of the ordinary but by getting around more I can find out where an eventual brick and mortar shop may work, and benefit the community as a whole."

The coffee caboose is about 50 percent complete. With an extra funding boost from a soon-to-launch Indiegogo campaign, Webb hopes to take her cart on the road by May 31, peddling Ugly Mug coffee from Ypsilanti, alongside a host of fresh local products including baked good, fruits, and other healthy fare.
