Anticipated Italian eatery La Rondinella is no stranger to delays. The Eastern Market restaurant, owned by Dave Mancini of Supino Pizza was originally slated to open in November 2013, but got pushed back to late Summer 2014, and yet again to January 2015. Now, three days into February, the restaurant still remains far from complete.

A quick look inside the blue building on the corner of East Fisher Service Drive and Russell Street suggests La Rondinella isn't likely to open in the next month. Equipment sits uninstalled in the dining area. An employee at neighboring Supino says that there are still several major projects that need to be completed before the new dining spot will open its doors. At the earliest, it looks like La Rondinella will open by late-Winter but it seems more likely that the restaurant will debut this Spring.
