Ferndale's Buffalo Wild Wings will officially relocate to Royal Oak's vacant Main Street Barnes & Noble on March 2.
The former bookstore offers 30 percent more space than it's southern counterpart and "the same cool downtown vibe" says T. Michael Ansley, president and CEO of Diversified Restaurant Holdings, which owns and operates multiple regional Buffalo Wild Wings franchises.
Already overwhelmed by bars and restaurants, some Royal Oak citizens and police initially voiced concerns that the sports bar would attract even more loud and rowdy customers to their quiet suburban thoroughfare. The restaurant was eventually approved.
