Michigan's winter has not been kind Canton Brew Works. The forthcoming ‘burbs microbrewery has struggled to find a roofer willing to work in the frigid, icy, and all around inhospitable weather. With any luck, owner Barry Boggs tells Eater, the necessary roof projects will be completed by Friday, allowing their HVAC company to complete required ventilation work.
In the meantime, Boggs is busy scheduling other essential inspections, electrical, mechanical, and health included. "We were approved for our Michigan Brewer's License, so the last step will be getting our final state inspection. Once all of these are complete we can start brewing," he says, adding that they hope to open by the end of March.
