Downtown—Fountain Bistro at Campus Martius will close for approximately a month beginning March 2, according to Crain's. Owner Jay Lambrecht expects the restaurant to be up and running again by April 2, after workers install new floors, light schematics, and a waitress station. The bistro will also receive a fresh coat of paint with a new color scheme. Lambrecht hopes the $100,000 revamp will "make the restaurant a little more approachable" for younger clientele as well as downtown business people.
Downtown—Randolph Street's Bagger Dave's is currently closed for updates through early March, according to a tipster. A worker onsite at the restaurant reports that the owner is renovating the entry space to give guests easier access to the building's second floor.
