Jolly Pumpkin is making big strides toward the company's projected early 2015 opening deadline and the brewers are now asserting with more confidence that the Midtown pizzeria and craft beer hall will open by April.
Many of the interior design elements in the 5,000-square-foot building are already complete as recent photos on the Jolly Pumpkin Facebook page attest. Repurposed wood elements on the walls as well as lights made from oak barrels accent the building's exposed ductwork.
The brewer, which focuses on sour ales aged in oak barrels, will offer "close to 30 beers on tap along with our ciders," Tony Grant of Northern United Brewing Co. tells DBusiness Daily News. "We'll be rotating the beers for the seasons and holidays."
The menu will focus on pizza with locally-sourced ingredients from Avalon Bakery, McClures Pickles, and Calder Dairy. The company expects to complete their build-out by the end of March, and plans to begin hiring staff March 2.
