Inside Café 78, Midtown's Art-Inspired Bar and Bistro

Photographers Michelle and Chris Gerard offer a visual tour of Midtown's newest bar and bistro.

Like the museum with which it shares a wall, newly opened Café 78 offers a simplicity and artistry in its menu and beverage program. The bistro venture is a permanent addition to MOCAD, providing a space for visitors and Midtown residents to gather for coffee, pastries, and simple lunch and dinner fair as well as craft cocktails inspired by the Pantone color palette.

Designer Daniel Moskop developed the modern industrial space, which features an open layout and a 14-foot bar. In the summer, a garage door adjacent to Garfield Street will allow for an open-air feel in the restaurant.
