Dearborn's first microbrewery is eyeing a possible April opening. The startup from husband-and-wife team John and Sheila Rucinski has secured the necessary federal approval and is now in the process of acquiring its state licensing, reports DBusiness.
The brewery facility located on Michigan Avenue will have six taps in the onsite taproom, and will also do growler fills. They'll "likely start things off with cream, amber, pale, and brown ales, in addition to some seasonal brews." While it doesn't have a kitchen, "patrons will be welcome to bring food in from home or nearby businesses."
Rucinski, who began homebrewing as a hobbyist in 2000, told Eater late last year that the brewery would have a laid-back feel, saying, "The only thing I really want to be dead serious about is the quality of the beer."
