1) DOWNTOWN—The last of the four Dan Gilbert/Bedrock Real Estate restaurants, Freshii, debuted this week near Campus Martius. The fast-casual chain provides healthy options like salads, wraps, burritos, rice bowls, soups, and more. Kat Rembacki of Core Detroit suggests trying the falafel bowl and Budda's Satay. 2) CORKTOWN—Batch Brewing Company opened last night (take a look inside). The brewery kicked off their first event with eight nano-brewed beers on tap, snacks, and live music. Status: Soft Open. 1400 Porter Street.
3) NEW CENTER—The Zenith owners' new venture, The Wrecktory Club, debuts tonight with heavy metal karaoke beginning at 9 p.m. Owner Robert Jasper foresees the space being used for concerts, film screenings, and private events. Status: Soft Open. 3011 W Grand Boulevard.
4) CORKTOWN—Collaborative beer company Brew Detroit kicked off their three-day Grand Opening celebration on Thursday. The event continues through Saturday with live music, craft beer, and food provided by The Mean Weenie and Delectabowl. Status: Certified Open. 1400 Abbott Street.
